In commemoration of 34th Civil Registration Month, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Kalinga is set to embark on a series of impactful activities in Taloctoc, Tanudan, Kalinga. With a focus on Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign, Mobile Birth Registration, and fostering artistic expression through Poster and Slogan Making, these initiatives aim to strengthen community awareness and engagement in civil registration processes.
PSA Kalinga recognizes the importance of spreading awareness about civil registration processes. Through targeted IEC activities, the community of Taloctoc have the access to vital information on the significance of civil registration, the benefits it brings to individuals and communities, and the importance of ensuring accurate and complete records.
Ensuring that every individual has a registered birth as a fundamental right and a key component of civil registration, PSA Kalinga conducted a mobile birth registration directly for the community with the help of the Municipal Civil Registrar (MCR) Office of Tanudan. Every individual has the opportunity to register births conveniently, eliminating barriers that may have previously hindered access to this essential service.
Another simultaneous activity was conducted to recognize the power of art and creativity through a poster and slogan-making competition among the students of Taloctoc General Comprehensive National High School.
