In line with the celebration of the 34th Civil Registration Month this February 2024, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) continuously advocates and supports the improvement of the country’s Civil Registration and Vital Statistics. This year’s theme is “CRVS: The Future of Seamless Services”

All Civil Registry Offices, Regional Statistical Services Offices (RSSOs), and Provincial Statistics (PSOs) are enjoined to organize and conduct activities for the month-long celebration such as but not limited to: display of streamers; mobile registration; conduct of charitable activity; free issuance of certification and other relevant activities such as conduct of mass wedding, motorcade, symposium, information/ education campaign, civil registration quiz, slogan contest, essay writing contest and poster making contest.

PSA Kalinga and the offices of the Local Civil Registrar in the province had the following activities:

A. Display of Streamers

The office prepared and hanged Civil Registration Month streamer for the awareness of everyone in front of the office visible to the eyes of those passing by, office clients and others.

Local Government Units of Tabuk City, Rizal, Balbalan, Pasil, Lubuagan Pinukpuk, Tanudan and Tinglayan, Kalinga also prepared and hanged their streamer in front of their City/Municipal Hall.

B. Mobile Registration 

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) with the City Civil Registry Office (CCRO) of Tabuk City conducted mobile registration to identified applicants at Barangay Dilag Gym on February 6, 2024.

Likewise, amobile registration with the LCRO of Tanudan was also consucted in Taloctoc, Tanudan on February 22, 2024.

Mobile Registration were also conducted in the different On February 27, 2024, the office also conducted mobile registration with LCRO Pinukpuk in Ba-ay, Pinukpuk and Allaguia on February 28.

Mobile Registration were also conducted in the different Local Government Units. ❖ At Liwan West, Rizal on February 21-22, 2024.

At Lay-asan, Tanudan on February 20, 2024.

C. Conduct of charitable Activity 

The office initiated the provision of certificates of live birth for Persons with Disability at Barangay Lower Taloctoc and Upper Taloctoc, Tanudan on February 22, 2024. Twenty-six (26) individuals benefited from the program.

Simultaneous with the activity was a feeding program for elementary school pupils and distribution of snacks for the beneficiaries

D. Free Registration and issuance

The Local Civil Registrar’s Office of Lubuagan, Balbalan and Pasil celebrated the civil registration month through the free registration and issuance of birth, marriage and death certificate and other certifications from February 26-29, 2024.

E. Other relevant activities 

1. Mass wedding 

Tenty-two (22) couples exchanged vows in a mass wedding ceremony officiated by Mayor Karl Bugao P. Baac, Mayor of Rizal on February 26, 2023 at the Sports Center, Babalag East, Rizal.

2. Symposium 

The office conducted the first quarter meeting for City/Municipal Civil Registrars and personnel at the PSA provincial office on February 8, 2024. All municipalities were represented except for Balbalan.

3. Information/ Education Campaign 

The Office conducted an information drive to the constituents of Barangays Upper Taloctoc and Lower Taloctoc on February 22, 2024.

An information drive on Birth Registration Assistance Project was discussed on said event on February 22, 2024.

4. Slogan Contest 

The office conducted slogan making contest on this year’s Civil Registration Month theme at Taloctoc General Comprehensive National High School on February 22, 2024.

5. Poster Making Contest

The office conducted poster making contest on this year’s Civil Registration Month theme at Taloctoc General Comprehensive National High School on February 22, 2024. The winners were awarded right after the contest.

6. Radio Guesting 

RO II Jefelyn L. Dalingay was invited to guest on the program Cafeteria sa Radyo and broadcast live on February 2, 2024. Activities for the Civil Registration Month and information regarding the celebration was the main topic of the interview

7. Distribution of IEC materials (Civil Registration brochures, Legitimation, Ra 9048 and RA 9255 at Barangays Upper Taloctoc and Lower Taloctoc, Tanudan on February 22, 2024

8. Publications 

The office prepared and submitted infographics and a special release on the 2023 birth, marriage and death. It highlights on the vital counts in the province compared last year and presented monthly.
