35th Civil Registration Month Kick-Off in the Province of Ifugao

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Ifugao Provincial Statistical Office officially launched the 35th Civil Registration Month on 03 February 2025 kicking off the celebration with a motorcade from Lagawe to Lamut, Ifugao. Throughout the motorcade, PSA staff played the Civil Registration Month Jingle to raise public awareness about the importance of civil registration.

This year’s theme, "Building a Resilient, Agile, and Future-Fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) System," emphasizes the need for a strong and adaptable civil registration system that ensures efficient and accessible services for all. 

Following the motorcade, PSA officials and employees came together for a Tree Planting Activity at Sanafe, Lamut, Ifugao in coordination with DENR-Ifugao providing 60 “Malasantol” seedlings to plant. This activity symbolizes growth and resilience of the CRVS system. Just as trees take root and flourish over time, PSA remains committed to strengthening civil registration services to better serve the Filipino people.

The Civil Registration Month is celebrated in February of every year pursuant to Proclamation No. 682 signed by the former President Corazon C. Aquino on 28 January 1991. This annual celebration aims to remind the Filipinos of their duty to register acts and events concerning status of persons, enhance nationwide awareness, and appreciation of the legal, administrative, and statistical values of civil registry documents.
