The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Kalinga co-locates with the Social Welfare and Developmennt (SWAD) Kalinga program to register and empower Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys). This collaboration is set to make a significant impact in fostering inclusivity and improving the lives of PWDs in the community.

The partnership between PSA Kalinga and SWAD Kalinga is a powerful step towards building a more inclusive society and recognizing the importance of identity and accessibility for all. This initiative aims to empower PWDs by granting them access to government services, while simultaneously emphasizing the importance of inclusivity and recognizing their unique needs. 

On 14 September 2023, PSA Kalinga conducted the PhilSys registration, issuance of ePhilID, and distribution of PhilSys brochures to the PWD SWAD beneficiaries. There were 21 individuals who were successfully registered with PhilSys, and 4 individuals were able to secure their ePhilIDs.

As the registration process begins, PWD SWAD beneficiaries are encouraged to participate in this important initiative. The information collected will be used solely for the purpose of ensuring beneficiaries receive the support and services they need.

By registering PWDs into the PhilSys, this partnership will create a vital bridge to essential government services, ensuring that PWDs' rights are upheld, and their requirements met efficiently.
