12 February 2025 – BANGUED, ABRA. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Abra Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) partnered with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Social Welfare and Development (SWAD) Abra in enhancing public access to National ID registration services. This partnership established the DSWD Family Development Sessions (FDS) and National ID co-locations at Pidigan, Abra on February 7, 2025 where 80 individuals were registered, including 38 beneficiaries and at San Quintin, Abra with 56 registrants, including 30 beneficiaries. This strategy aimed at streamlining the National ID registration process, bringing it closer to residents, especially the social protection beneficiaries under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps). 

Registration Officer II Jonnel P. Aveño had been coordinating with DSWD SWAD Abra to schedule the FDS and National ID co-locations. The other co-location schedules for February 2025 are the following:

•     February 12-14, 2025 – Bucay, Abra

•     February 17-18, 2025 – Licuan-Baay, Abra

•     February 19, 2025 – San Isidro, Abra

•     February 20-21, 2025 – Malibcong, Abra

•     February 24, 2025 – Pidigan, Abra

•     February 27, 2025 – Manabo, Abra

The PSA and DSWD co-location activity ensures that all Filipinos, particularly the vulnerable and marginalized families, have secured and verifiable digital identities. This collaboration will enable 4Ps beneficiaries to easier and faster access to government services and social protection programs. It also demonstrates commitment to improving public service delivery and promoting wider accessibility to National ID System. This demonstrates the effectiveness of inter-agency partnership in bringing essential government services closer to the communities and streamlining public service delivery.
