Personnel of various agencies attending the first Monday flag raising ceremony
The Philippine Statistics Authority – Mountain Province, continues its mandate to inform and advocate the implementation of the National Identification system to its clients and stakeholders.
During the first Monday flag raising ceremony held at the Provincial Plaza, Poblacion, Bontoc on 05 May 2025, Registration Officer II Jonah T. Langpawen took the opportunity to inform the public that the National ID team has discontinued its mobile registration operations. Currently only the Fixed Registration Center, located at the basement of the Bontoc Municipal Capitol, is operational. She explained that this is due to the realignment of registration operations budget leading to a decrease in registration kits and personnel affecting 26 provinces, including Mountain Province, which has only one Registration Kit Operator allocated.
While the mobile registration is on hold, RO II Langpawen ensured that the National ID services are still easily accessible. She informed that the PSA is willing to accommodate senior citizens and differently abled individual by conducting a home service registration, especially that this is one of the mandatory requirements for delayed registration of birth. National ID in paper form of these individuals will also be issued once it is printed. This strategy will let the registrants immediately enjoy the benefits of the National ID.

Langpawen added that for those who have lost their ID card, the office can only issue the national ID in paper form as a replacement. The generated digital national ID is also accepted to be used during transactions. She then encouraged everyone to support the continuous implementation of the National ID.
