22 July 2025 – BANGUED, ABRA. Demonstrating its firm commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Abra Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) brought National ID registration services directly to the elderly, bedridden individuals and persons with disabilities (PWDs) in various areas of the province. This initiative underscores PSA Abra's unwavering commitment to ensuring that no Filipino is left behind in the ongoing rollout of the National Identification System (NID System).

PSO Abra deployed the NID mobile team to provide doorstep registration services in respond to the challenges faced by individuals with limited mobility, particularly the elderly and those with disability and health conditions that prevent them from visiting registration centers. This proactive approach aims to bridge the gap in accessibility, allowing even the most vulnerable members of the community to register and obtain their National ID.

The National ID is a vital tool designed to simplify transactions with government and private entities, providing a single, secure, and widely accepted proof of identity. Its benefits include easier access to social services, streamlined financial transactions, and enhanced participation in the digital economy. PSA Abra is empowering these individuals to fully exercise their rights and access to essential services that require valid identification by extending these services to the elderly, bedridden and PWDs.

PSA Abra continuously implements various strategies to expand National ID coverage, including mobile registration services in communities, partnerships with Local Government Units, and special registration for priority sectors such as senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and indigenous peoples.
