9 May 2025 — BANGUED, ABRA. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Abra Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) officially launched the 2025 National Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month with a kick-off activity that included an informative lecture at PSA Abra Data Processing Room on May 5, 2025. The event, held during the PSA Abra’s first flag ceremony for May aimed to underscore the agency’s commitment to facilitating smoother transactions and enhancing service delivery in line with the EODB agenda.

Information Officer I Angelee Ann B. Perez delivered a brief yet comprehensive lecture, highlighting the key provisions of RA No. 11032, otherwise known as the “Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018” and the crucial role of ARTA in ensuring government agencies adhere to efficient and transparent processes. The lecture specifically addressed how the principles of the EODB and ARTA are being integrated into various PSA processes, ultimately benefiting the public, relying parties, and stakeholders requiring the agency’s services.

During the lecture, several key aspects were brought to the forefront. Firstly, a clear understanding of RA No. 11032 was provided, detailing its objectives in reducing bureaucratic hurdles and streamlining government processes. Following this, the crucial role of the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) was explained, offeing insights into how it oversees and ensures adherence to the RA 11032 across various government agencies. Notably, IO I Perez also presented concrete examples of streamlined services and process improvements being implemented in by the PSO, illustrating how the agency’s services are becoming more efficient and accessible. The participants also shared their best practices in delivering services to their clients and stakeholders in line with EODB principles and they were given a glimpse into the planned activities for EODB Month, outlining PSA Abra’s activities aimed at further promoting a more business-friendly environment within its operations in the province. The IO I facilitated a fun and interactive quiz bee to assess the participants’ takeaway on the lecture.
