February is Civil Registration Month. This year’s theme is “Shaping Civil Registration and Vital statistics (CRVS) by Embracing New Trends in the 4th Industrial Revolution”. Memorandum Circular 2020-01 guides us with the Local Civil Registry Offices on the activities to be implemented in our provinces to celebrate, support and improve Civil Registration and Vital Statistics in our provinces.

PSA Kalinga celebrated with:

A. Display of Streamers

The Office prepared and hanged Civil Registration Month streamer for the awareness of everyone in front of the office visible to the eyes of those passing by, office clients and others.

Local Government Units of Balbalan and Pasil, Kalinga prepared and hanged their streamer also in front of their offices. Local Government Units of Pasil and Pinukpuk, Kalinga prepared and hanged their streamer also in front of their offices. Local Government Unit of Rizal and Tabuk City, Kalinga prepared and hanged their streamer also in front of their offices.

B. Conduct of Charitable Activity

The office initiated the provision of certificates of live birth for the senior citizens of Balinciagao Sur, Pasil on February 26, 2020. Fifty three (53) Senior citizens were issued with the free authenticated live births.

C. Free Registration

The Local Civil Registrar’s Office of Balbalan, Lubuagan, Pasil, Pinukpuk, Tabuk City and Tinglayan celebrated the civil registration month through the free registration and issuance of birth certificate and other certifications on February 20, 21, 27 and 28, 2020.

D. Information Education Campaign

The office coordinated and conducted information and education campaign at schools and community:

Students, teachers and Barangay Officials of said schools became aware on the importance of Civil Registration, its laws and principles. They have many questions regarding their birth certificates especially on the application for legitimation, RA 9858, RA 9255 and supplemental reports.

E. Mass Wedding

LGU Lubuagan and Tinglayan conducted mass wedding ceremonies solemnized by their Mayor.

F. Fact Sheet, Special Release and Infographics

The office prepared and submitted fact sheets, infographics and a special release on the 2019 birth, marriage and death. It highlights on the vital counts in the Province compared last year and presented monthly.

 

G. Trainings
 
The office conducted Decentralized Copy Annotation Project (DeCAP) training for Local Civil Registrars and personnel on February 6, 2020 at the provincial office.
The office conducted training for Local Civil Registrars and personnel on the result of 2017 deaths in Kalinga using Analysis of Causes of National Deaths for Action (ANACONDA) on February 7, 2020 at the provincial office.
 
H. Slogan Contest
 
The office conducted a slogan making contest for the students of Nambaran Agro Industrial National High School on February 12, 2020. It was participated by the different grades in the school with two participants per grade. It was based on the Civil Registration Month theme.
 
I. Poster Making Contest
 
The office conducted a poster making contest for the students of Bado Dangwa National High School on February 27, 2020. It was a partnership work for every grade in the school. It was based on the Civil Registration Month theme.
 
J. Radio Guesting
 
SSS Randolf Laderas and Ro II Jefelyn Dalingay attended the invitation of anchor Estrella Bamba Loque with the program Cafeteria Sa Radyo. Activities for the celebration of civil registration month and the 2019 vital statistics were aired.
