WHEREAS, the Regional Statistics Committee (RSC) – CAR adopted the Statistical Framework for the Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Sector through the RSC-CAR Resolution No. 03, series of 2022 approved on 18 March 2022;

WHEREAS, the same resolution created the Technical Working Group (TWG) on STI Statistics for the Cordillera with the following composition of agencies and offices:

1. National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA)
2. Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)
3. Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT)
4. Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL)
5. Commission on Higher Education (CHED)
6. Jaime V. Ongpin Foundation, Inc. (JVOFI)
7. Tebtebba Foundation (Indigenous Peoples’ Centre for Policy Research and Education)
8. Benguet State University (BSU)
9. Saint Luis University (SLU)
10. University of the Cordilleras (UC)
11. University of the Philippines (UP) - Baguio

WHEREAS, the TWG on STI statistics convenes meetings to discuss, monitor, review, and recommend strategies in the implementation of STI frameworks and compilation of related statistics;

WHEREAS, the organizational meeting was held last 27 January 2023 and thoroughly discussed the terms of reference of the TWG and identified the specific involvement of each of the member agencies and the membership role;

WHEREAS, the TWG also identified other offices and agencies that would also serve the terms of reference of the TWG and deemed it necessary to be included and some agencies to be excluded in the meantime;

WHEREAS, the reconstitution of the membership of the TWG is important to make the TWG more responsive in the collection of STI Statistics as prescribed by the adopted STI framework;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, BE IT:

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Regional Statistics Committee-Cordillera Administrative Region (RSC-CAR) approves the reconstitution of the Technical Working Group (TWG) on Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Statistics with the following composition:
