WHEREAS, Section 6 (I) of the Republic Act No. 10625 directs the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) to coordinate the formulation of the Philippine Statistical Development Program (PSDP), and the PSA Regional offices to facilitate the preparation of the Regional Statistical Development Program (RSDP);
WHEREAS, the Regional Statistical Development Program (RSDP) lays the necessary framework for generating and disseminating statistics and indicators needed in the policy formulation, development planning and decision making by various stakeholders and data users in the region;
WHEREAS, the CAR RSDP 2017-2023 was formulated in accordance with the guidelines provided by the PSA Board and in consultation with RSC members and other regional line agencies (RLAs) and local government units (LGUs);
WHEREAS, the draft CAR RSDP 2017-2023 was enhanced and revised to incorporate additional comments and inputs from the RSC members, concerned agencies, and from the Standard Service of PSA;
WHEREAS, RSC-CAR passed Resolution No. 06 series of 2017 approving the 2017-2023 Regional Statistical Development Programs (RSDP) of the Cordillera during its 3rd Quarter RSC meeting held on August 29, 2017 and the enhanced CAR RSDP was approved on February 26, 2018;
WHEREAS, members of the RSC-CAR would endorse the CAR RSDP 2017-2023 to RDC-CAR for the Council to enjoin RLAs and LGUs to align their programs and activities to the CAR RSDP 2017-2023;
NOW, THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, BE IT:
RESOLVED, AS lT lS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Regional Statistics Committee, duly assembled, endorses to the Regional Development Council (RDC) - CAR the CAR Regional Statistical Development Program (RSDP) 2017-2023.
