WHEREAS, the First Regional Statistics Committee (RSC) Summit held on September 21,2016 underscored the need to develop a harmonized and standardized set of core regional indicators (CoRe-Is) that would supplement the key development indicators useful in tracking the pace of development of a region;
WHEREAS, the development indicators were identified and yhe PSA Board Resolution No. 10, series of 2017 was passed approving the 98 national set of indicators common to all regions;
WHEREAS, the RSC-CAR created the Task Force on CoRe-Is and conducted series of meetings to review the national indicators and came up with the 107 regional indicators to comprise the region's CoRe-Is;
WHEREAS, the list of core regional indicators of Cordillera was approved by virtue of RSC-CAR Resolution No. 07, series of 2017 during the 3rd Quarter RSC Meeting on August 29,2017;
WHEREAS, in order for the region's CoRe-Is to be more responsive for development planning at the local level, there is a need to localize the indicators and come up with city/provincial dimension;
NOW, THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, BE IT:
RESOLVED, AS IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Committee duly assembled enjoins all the City/Provincial Statistics Committees (C/PSCs) in Cordillera to compile their respective Core City/Provincial Indicators (CoPrIs) in support to the region's CoRe-Is, the CoPrls being the localized or the city/provincial dimensions of CoRe-Is;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the list of approved CoRe-Is of the region will be provided to all (C/PSCs) and the (C/PSCs) to identify available indicators in their city/provinces;
RESOLVED FURTHERMORE, that the (C/PSCs) are not restricted to identifying and collecting development indicators contained in the CoRe-Is but can add more depending on the data needs of the city/province;
RESOLVED FINALLY, that the (C/PSCs) shall provide to RSC-CAR through PSA-CAR of their compiled CoPrIs to be aggregated and to be compiled as part of the CoRe-Is monitoring and reporting.
