WHEREAS, the Regional Statistical Coordination Committee (RSCC) through NSCB Resolution No. 1 Series of 1992 can create task forces to address specific statistical matters;

WHEREAS, the celebration of the National Statistics Month (NSM) aims to enhance region wide awareness and appreciation of the value and importance of statistics to the different sectors and to elicit the support and cooperation of the public to statistical activities;

WHEREAS, there is a need to coordinate the various activities of the government to ensure the success of the celebration of the National Statistics Month 2001;

WHEREAS, there is a need to operationalize this endeavor by creating a task force to formulate the work program and undertake the necessary groundwork;

WHEREAS, the RSCC-CAR shall determine the chair and the final composition of the Task Force upon the issuance by the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB) of the CY 2001 National Memorandum Circular on the National Statistics Month;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Committee create the "Task Force on NSM 2001" to undertake the above-mentioned tasks and to initially include the following agencies/institutions: NEDA, NSCB, NSO, BAS, and the CPDO.
