Requesting the Government and Private Offices to Provide to the National Statistical Coordination Board(NSCB) Regional Unit-CAR Data Needed for the Estimation of the Gross Regional Domestic Product of the Cordillera Administrative Region

WHEREAS, the GRDP measures the total output of goods and services within a region and is an indicator of the region's economic performance;

WHEREAS, GRDP estimates are valuable inputs in development planning, policy formulation and monitoring activities;

WHEREAS, the NSCB Central Office (CO) estimates annually the GRDP of all regions of the country;

WHEREAS, data needed in the GRDP estimation are gathered from the results of censuses and surveys of government offices, and administrative reports of government and private offices;

WHEREAS, the NSCB preserves the confidentiality of sensitive data through the release of aggregate estimates only;

WHEREAS, with the existence of the NSCB Regional Unit CAR (RU-CAR), the estimation of the GRDP of CAR is in the process of being transferred to NSCB RU-CAR;

WHEREAS, there is a need, therefore, for NSCB RU-CAR to start building-up its database in preparation for its actual GRDP estimation;

WHEREAS, the support of data sources from the government and private sectors in the region is important in the coming up with accurate and reliable GRDP estimates of CAR;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to request the government and private offices to provide to the NSCB RU-CAR data needed for the estimation of the CAR GRDP;
