WHEREAS, the annual celebration of the National Statistics Month (NSM) aims to enhance region-wide awareness and appreciation of the value and importance of statistics to the different sectors, and to elicit the support and cooperation of the public to statistical activities by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 647 issued on 20 September 1990 by then President Corazon C. Aquino;  

WHEREAS, the 32nd NSM celebration has the theme, "NSM@32: Revving up for Economic and Social Recovery Through Evidence-Based Policies" which emphasizes the importance of statistics as bases for policy decisions to address the socioeconomic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and that using relevant statistics will guide policy and decision makers in socioeconomic recovery efforts;

WHEREAS, RSC-CAR Resolution No. 06, series of 2021 enjoined all regional line agencies, local government units and the private sector to conduct activities in celebration of the 32nd NSM and to advocate the importance of statistics for evidence based decision-making.”

WHEREAS, the different government agencies and private organizations enrolled NSM activities for the whole month of October 2021 in the form of virtual or hybrid seminars/webinars, online exhibits, publication of statistical reports, indicators and other relevant statistical information, showing of audiovisual presentations, display/hanging of the NSM streamer/poster and through the posting in online and social media platforms;

WHEREAS, all the NSM activities submitted were consolidated by the NSM Secretariat and become the 32nd NSM CAR Regional Calendar of Activities;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, BE IT:

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the RSC-CAR approves the 2021 Regional Calendar of Activities which form part of this Resolution in celebration of the 32nd NSM, and enjoins the public and private agencies and organizations to conduct activities in support of the NSM;

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the PSA-CAR shall provide the agencies/office/institutions with a copy of the consolidated 32nd NSM CAR Regional Calendar of Activities; 

RESOLVED FINALLY, that the agencies, LGUs and institutions shall furnish the RSC-CAR through the PSA-CAR as RSC Secretariat with reports on the conducted NSM activities on or before November 15, 2021 for documentation purposes.
