WHEREAS, Presidential Proclamation No. 647 was issued in September 20, 1990 declaring the month of October every year as the National Statistics Month;

WHEREAS, the National Statistics Month or NSM is annually celebrated to recognize the important role of statistics in nation building;

WHEREAS, the observance of NSM has two main objectives:

• To promote, enhance and instill the nationwide awareness and appreciation of the importance and value of statistics to the different sectors of the society; and
• To elicit the cooperation and support of the general public in upgrading the quality an standards of statistics in the country;

WHEREAS, a Task Force on NSM was organized since 2000 to come out with various activities celebrating NSM;

WHEREAS, the theme for this year's celebration is “Rising Beyond Global Challenges Through Quality Philippine Statistics” (Pananagumpay sa mga Pandaigdigang Hamon sa Pamamagitan ng Mahusay na Estadistika ng Pilipinas)

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, BE IT

RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, that the RSCC issues a memorandum circular enjoining all public and private agencies in the Cordillera Administrative Region to support and actively participate in the 15th NSM celebration.
