ENJOINING PRIVATE ESTABLISHMENTS AND STAKEHOLDERS IN THE CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION (CAR) TO SUPPORT THE CONDUCT OF THE 2023 CENSUS OF PHILIPPINE BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY (CPBI)

WHEREAS, Republic Act (RA) 10625, also known as the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013, mandates the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) to prepare and conduct periodic censuses on population, housing, agriculture, fisheries, business, industry and other sectors of the economy;

WHEREAS, Executive Order (EO) 352, dated 01 July 1996, designates the statistical activities that shall generate critical data for decision-making by the government and private sector and one of which is the CPBI;

WHEREAS, the CPBI is a comprehensive collection and compilation of statistical information pertaining to business operations of establishments collected from the industrial and non-industrial sectors of the economy, and constitutes reliable bases upon which the government and private sector will formulate economic policies and evolve development plans;

WHEREAS, the 2O23 CPBI is 17th in the series of economic censuses, which aims to collect and generate information on the levels, structure, performance, trends of economic activities of the formal sector in the entire country, and serves as benchmark information for the overall revision and rebasing of the National Accounts;

WHEREAS, the synchronized conduct of data collection for this economic census which is set to be conducted from April to July 2O24, calls for the support of the private establishments and all stakeholders for the successful implementation of this endeavor:

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, BE IT:

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the RSC-CAR duly assembled enjoins private establishments and all stakeholders in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) to support the conduct of the 2023 Census of Philippine Business and Industry (CPBI).
