WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 1 1315 or the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Act was signed into law on 17 April 2019 establishing CBMS in every city and municipality as an economic and social tool for the formulation and implementation of poverty alleviation and development programs that are specific, targeted, and responsive to the basic needs of each sector of the community;
WHEREAS, the CBMS shall generate updated and disaggregated data necessary in targeting beneficiaries, conducting more comprehensive poverty analysis and needs prioritization, designing appropriate policies and interventions, and monitoring impact over time;
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 6 of the CBMS Act, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) shall be the lead agency in implementing the CBMS through the Community-Based Statistics Service (CBSS);
WHEREAS, various training, forums, and campaigns have already been conducted in preparation for the nationwide rollout this year in coordination with various stakeholders such as PSA Field Offices, Local Government Units, and other agencies;
WHEREAS, the synchronized data collection for the nationwide rollout, set to be conducted from 10 June to 08 August 2024, calls for the support of the general public and all stakeholders for the successful implementation of this endeavor;
NOW THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, BE IT:
RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the RSC-CAR, duly assembled, enjoins the general public and all stakeholders in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) to support the conduct of the 2024 nationwide rollout of the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS);
RESOLVED FINALLY, that a copy of this resolution be provided to all the Provincial Statistical Office, Local Government Units, Regional Line Agencies, and other stakeholders for support in disseminating the 2024 nationwide rollout of the CBMS and other appropriate actions.
