Registered Live Birth
There were 6,273 reported actual live births in Kalinga for 2022. Out of the total, 50.98 percent or 3,198 were male while 49.02 percent or 3,075 were female. In terms of residence of the mother, City of Tabuk reported the highest number of female babies born with 2,154 or 70.05 percent of the total female babies born in Kalinga. It was followed by the municipality of Pinukpuk with a reported 282 or 9.17 percent and Tinglayan with 167 or 5.43 percent. Municipalities of Tanudan and Balbalan reported the lowest number of female babies born with 70 or 2.28 percent and 78 or 2.54 percent respectively. (Figure 1)

The City of Tabuk reported the highest number of male babies in 2022 with 2,280 or 71.29 percent of the total male reported in Kalinga. Next in rank was the municipality of Pinukpuk with 281 or 8.79 percent. It was followed by municipalities of Tinglayan, Rizal and Lubuagan with 190 or 5.94 percent, 131 or 4.10, and 119 or 3.72 percent respectively. Municipalities of Tanudan and Pasil reported the lowest number of male babies born with 63 or 1.97 percent and 61 or 1.91 percent, respectively. (Figure 1)
Out of the total 3,075 female babies born in 2022, 370 or 12.03 percent were born in the month of September. It was followed by months of October with 300 or 9.76 percent, August 289 or 9.40 and November with 287 or 9.33 of the totals. The month of April and February had the lowest number of female babies born with 205 or 6.67 percent and 214 or 6.96 percent out of the total. (Figure 2)
Of the total number of males registered in Kalinga, the month of September had the highest number of male babies born with 363 or 11.35 percent. It was followed by months of August with 309 or 9.66 percent, October with 303 or 9.47 and November with 291 or 9.10 percent of the total. The month of May had the lowest number of male babies with 224 or 7 percent of the total. (Figure 2)

Registered Marriage
Majority of groom and bride marry at the age 25-29 years old. Groom had a total number of 505 while the bride had 510 or 39 percent of the total 1,287registered marriages in Kalinga. Comparing within age groups, it can be observed that more female married at a younger age than male, as the number of brides were greater than the number of grooms for aged 24 years old and below. Meanwhile, the number of grooms were greater for 30 years old and above. (Figure 3)

Registered Death
Out of the total 1,132 recorded actual deaths registered in Kalinga in 2022, 655 or 57.86 percent were male while 477 or 42.14 percent were female. Among the eight (8) city/municipalities in Kalinga, Tabuk City had the highest number of male and female registered deaths with 431 and 297 respectively. Municipality of Tanudan had the least number of registered deaths as their residence with 8 male deaths reported and 7 female deaths reported. (Figure 4)

The month of May had the highest number of male registered deaths with 64 or 9.77 percent of the total male registered deaths while for female registered deaths it was on the month of January with 53 or 11.11 percent of the total female registered deaths. The month of December had the lowest registered death in male and April for female with 44 and 29 deaths reported respectively. (Figure 5)

TECHNICAL NOTES
Live Birth- This refers to the complete expulsion or extraction from its mother of a product of conception, irrespective of the duration of the pregnancy, which after such separation, breathes or shows any other evidence of life.
Marriage- This is a special contract of permanent union between a man and a woman entered into in accordance with law for the establishment of conjugal and family life.
Death- This refers to the permanent disappearance of all evidence of life at any time after live birth has taken place.
Data from this Special Release was taken from the reports submitted by Local Civil Registry Office from eight (8) municipalities in Kalinga.
