Baguio City — The Philippine Statistics Authority Cordillera Administrative continues to advance its efforts to integrate the National ID into the digital frameworks of local government units (LGUs), national government agencies (NGAs), and financial institutions through the National ID Authentication Services.

To date, the Local Government of Tuba, Benguet, has onboarded the system. They are now capable of validating identities through the National ID, eliminating the need for additional forms of identification when delivering services.

The National ID Authentication Services have been introduced to eight national government agencies in the region: the Social Security System (SSS), PhilHealth, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit (RACU), the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), and the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

Additionally, Philippine Business Bank has also encouraged the integration of the National ID authentication into its operations, thereby supporting more secure and efficient transactions.

This growing network of partners demonstrates strong momentum in the implementation of the National ID authentication. As a foundational identification system and digital platform, the National ID aims to enhance administrative governance, reduce corruption, strengthen financial inclusion, facilitate ease of doing business, and improve access to public and private sector services.

By minimizing reliance on multiple IDs and streamlining identity verification, the National ID Authentication Services promote efficient and transparent service delivery. PSA CAR is optimistic that this initiative will significantly contribute to better governance and improved public service access across the region.
