Benguet, Philippines- Philippine Statistics Authority Benguet Provincial Statistical Office successfully underwent the First Surveillance Audit (FSA), conducted by Engr. Benzon Platino, TUV Nord Auditor on 25 March 2025.

The FSA marks a significant milestone in the agency’s commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in the delivery of products and services. Additionally, the FSA is an important part of the Quality Management System (QMS) ISO 9001:2015 certification process, ensuring that the office continues to uphold its commitment to: a) demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements; b)  to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

During the audit, Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), Statistical, Civil Registration, and Administrative and Financial sections were visited to validate their compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Engr. Benzon Platino deliberated the result of the FSA after the audit with high regard as PSO Benguet were compliant with ISO 9001:2015 requirements, with some areas marked as Opportunities for Improvement (OFI) with no Major Non-Conformity nor Minor Non-Conformity. 

Chief Statistical Specialist Imelda L. Buyuccan expressed her gratitude to the TUV Nord auditor for his professionalism throughout the audit process. "This surveillance audit marks an important step in our ongoing efforts to improve the quality of our services." said CSS Buyuccan. The office will continue to improve its systems and processes, with a focus on transparency, efficiency, and integrity in its operations for improved quality of life for all.
