The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)- Mountain Province continuously tries to reach out to all qualified unregistered citizens in far-flung areas to register to the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys).
PhilSys on Wheels is a mobile registration service that aims to bring the benefits of the PhilSys
directly to communities, ensuring that every eligible individual can easily register for their National ID without the need to travel far.
Through the activity, 130 residents were successfully registered to PhilSys including senior citizens and children. Demographic information was validated upon presenting their supporting documents and biometric information such as iris and fingerprint scanning and front-facing photograph were captured onsite.
As of 24 January 2024, PSA Mountain Province was able to successfully register 109,115 through different registration efforts.
Meanwhile, PhilSys registrants with peeled-off PhilIDs may request for a replacement. This can be done by filling out a request form and surrendering the PhilID with peeled-off photo at any PhilSys Registration Center. This is free of charge, along with the new PhilID for releasing to the PhilID owner.
Relative to the successful registration of citizens through the mobile registration strategy, Chief Statistical Specialist Jerry G. Santos expressed the PSA’s profound gratitude to all Municipal and Barangay government officials, individuals and others, who in one way or another, shared their resources to the PSA personnel and/or contributed to the successful implementation of PhilSys. CSS Santos also encourages those who are not yet enrolled to the National ID to take the opportunity of enrolling while PSA PhilSys personnel are on mobile and are in their barangay.
