The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Kalinga achieved its latest milestone by reaching 81.58%, or 168,967 registrants in the province. This couldn’t be possible without the collaborative effort among various stakeholders, government agencies, local government units (LGUs), and dedicated community members in ensuring the smooth implementation of Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) registration. The commitment and dedication of everyone involved have been instrumental in achieving this commendable registration rate.
From reaching the sitios and puroks of every barangay to the different city/municipalities, the PhilSys team was able to bring the service closer to the people of Kalinga. Through strategic partnerships and community engagement initiatives, PSA Kalinga has effectively reached out to diverse communities, addressing concerns and fostering awareness about the importance of the said government program. The collaboration with local leaders, barangay officials, and civil society organizations has been pivotal in driving participation and ensuring that every eligible individual is registered in PhilSys.
In relation to the strategies used by the PSA Kalinga, the office co-locates with the Department of Education (DepEd) Kalinga to register the learners from different schools. This initiative is able to provide a hassle-free transaction with the schools, especially the learners. Aside from schools, PSA Kalinga co-locates with the Social Welfare and Development (SWAD) Kalinga and joins different caravans during the events facilitated by the Local Government Units (LGUs) and private entities.
One of the most effective strategies for achieving the latest milestone of PhilSys was PhilSys on Wheels, wherein a mobile service was designed to bring the registration process directly to the community's doorstep. This eliminates the need for residents to undertake long journeys to complete their PhilSys registration.
These initiatives align with the government's vision of harnessing digital technology to improve public service delivery and facilitate access to various benefits and services for all Filipinos. PSA Kalinga remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring that the remaining percentage of the population is registered into the PhilSys, leaving no one behind. The agency continues to work tirelessly with its partners to address any challenges and barriers to registration, striving for full and comprehensive coverage in the province.
