Tabuk City, Kalinga – As part of the initiatives by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Kalinga to target the 92 million registrants for the National Identification System in the country, the office has collaborated with National Government Agencies (NGAs), particularly the Social Welfare and Development (SWAD) – Kalinga, for the registration of its beneficiaries. The office reported a significant increase in registrants during the third week of October 2024, reflecting the successful co-location of both offices. This collaboration encourages beneficiaries to present their National ID (in card, paper, or digital form) to claim assistance from SWAD. Also, this initiative highlights the shared commitment of both agencies to deliver quality public service to the people, ensuring that all citizens can take advantage of the benefits offered by the National ID System.

Over the past few weeks, both offices have worked closely to facilitate the registration process, ensuring that more community members are aware of the benefits and importance of the National ID system. The partnership has proven effective, resulting in a notable rise in the number of individuals registering for the National ID. The PSA Kalinga and SWAD Kalinga remains dedicated to reaching even more citizens who have yet to register for the National ID. The registration process is ongoing, and residents are encouraged to participate to take full advantage of the benefits that the National ID system offers.

Maribel M. Dalayday, Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) of PSA Kalinga, expressed her appreciation for the team's continuous efforts to meet the weekly targets. After the office surpassed the target Registration Kits (RegKits) outputs for the third week of October 2024, the team continued to exert extra effort in the following weeks despite the weather conditions experienced in the province.
