Tabuk City, Kalinga – In line with the 35th Civil Registration Month celebration, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Kalinga held the 2024 Awarding of Outstanding Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) on February 11, 2025. This event highlighted the exceptional efforts of LCROs in the province in delivering efficient and effective civil registration services under the theme, “Building a Resilient, Agile, and Future-fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics System.”

The annual awarding ceremony aims to recognize and encourage innovation, efficiency, and productivity among LCROs while appreciating their role in supporting Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) programs. Specifically, the awards seek to encourage efficiency, productivity, innovativeness, and creativity in LCROs; acknowledge LCRO initiatives in supporting CRVS programs and activities; appreciate the value of vital statistics data generation; promote participation and cooperation; and align the incentive system with results-based performance for timely, accurate, and efficient civil registration services.

Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Maribel M. Dalayday of PSA Kalinga delivered an inspiring message to the participants, stating, “This occasion is not just a recognition of your hard work - it is a testament to your role in building a resilient, agile, and future-fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics System.” She also commended the dedication of LCROs, adding, “Congratulations to all awardees and to every Local Civil Registrar who continues to be a pillar of public service. May this recognition inspire you to strive for greater heights as we build a civil registration system that is truly resilient, agile, and future-fit.”

The City of Tabuk LCRO was recognized as the Top Performing LCRO in Kalinga and received the Award for Exemplary Timeliness in Monthly Report Submission, the Most Active in Mobile Registration award, and the First Place Outstanding Award in Civil Registration Activities. The LCRO of Pinukpuk was honored with the Excellence Award for the Highest Output in the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP). The LCRO of Rizal was acknowledged as the Most Active in Mobile Registration and received the Second Place Outstanding Award in Civil Registration Activities. Meanwhile, the LCRO of Pasil secured the Third Place Outstanding Award in Civil Registration Activities.

This recognition highlights the commitment of the LCROs in ensuring the integrity and accessibility of civil registration services. PSA Kalinga remains steadfast in its mission to enhance CRVS system in the province, reinforcing a resilient and data-driven approach for the future.
