30 June - 05 July 2025 - LAGAWE, IFUGAO. The Ifugao Provincial Statistical Office is currently conducting the 6-day Third Level Training on the July 2025 Labor Force Survey (LFS) and 2025 Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES) Visit 1 at the G/F New LMDC Building, Poblacion West, Lagawe, Ifugao. The training aims to prepare hired field personnel to effectively and accurately conduct data collection for these important demographic and social surveys.

The LFS is a quarterly survey that aims to generate high frequency data on the Philippine labor market to better monitor and assess the country’s employment and economic conditions. Its results serve as vital inputs for planning, policy formulation, and implementation of programs that promote gainful employment and support livelihood opportunities for Filipinos. Meanwhile, the FIES aims to gather detailed information on family income and expenditure, including sources of income and spending levels. The data help determine income distribution and the degree of inequality among families. The 2025 FIES Visit 1 will collect data covering the first semester of 2025. The Ifugao Provincial Statistical Office is responsible for carrying out both surveys in the province.

The data collection will commence on 8 July 2025 until 31 July 2025 with 5 Team Supervisors and 50 Statistical Researchers to cover the entire sample barangays in the province. PSO - Ifugao encourages full cooperation, especially the 1,559 sample households, and urges them to provide accurate and truthful information to the data collectors during the enumeration period. The results from the LFS and FIES will play a crucial role in formulating policies and programs for the country’s socio-economic development. Rest assured all information obtained from individuals during the survey operation will be kept strictly confidential as provided in Article 55 and Section 27 of Republic Act No. 10625.
