Map Data Processors and Team Supervisors during the courtesy call and geotagging activities of the 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System Geotagging of Service Facilities and Government Projects and Listing of Building Constructions.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) enjoins the public to support the 2024 Census of Population (POPCEN) and Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Geotagging of Service Facilities and Government Projects (SFGP); and Listing of Building Constructions that was started last 03 March 2025 and operation will end on
12 April 2025.

The CBMS refers to an organized technology-based system of collecting, processing, and validating necessary disaggregated data that may be used for planning, program implementation, and impact monitoring at the local level, while empowering communities to participate in the process. One activity to be done during the CBMS implementation is the conduct of geotagging, which involves the collection and processing of timely and relevant spatial (location) and non-spatial (e.i., name, structure type, construction date, etc.) data of households, service facilities, and government projects located in the locality. The processed data can then be used in generating thematic and poverty maps, serving as effective tools for subsequent planning, and program implementation, and to come up with programs and monitor impact for economic development and poverty alleviation.

The 2024 POPCEN-CBMS Geotagging of SFGP also includes the Listing of Building Construction (LoBC) wherein the data that will be collected will be used to supplement the construction statistics released by the PSA, which are currently based solely on approved building permits filed with Local Building Officials (LBOs) across local government units nationwide.
Geotagging is a fundamental component of CBMS operations. It facilitates the capture and timely collection of pertinent information regarding service facilities and government projects at the local level.

For Benguet and City of Baguio, there were 46 field personnel (36 Map Data Collectors and 10 Team Supervisors) and six processors hired to do the said activity.
