Registration Officer I Jovieline Ambojnon led the discussion on the Birth Registration Assistance Project Updates during the First Quarter Meeting of PSC.

 

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – As part of the First Quarter Meeting of Provincial Statistics Committee, Registration Officer I Jovieline Ambojnon discussed on the goals, objectives, procedures, and updates of the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) on March 4 at the Office of the Provincial Agriculture, Gloriosa Hall.

RO I Ambojnon mentioned that the project was in achieving the goal under the Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Decade for 2015 to 2024 which is to increase the universal registration to at least 99.5-percent. With “Get every Pinoy and Pinay in the Picture” ministerial declaration, the CRVS Decade—born from the ministerial conference on CRVS in Asia and the Pacific, held at Bangkok, Thailand on November 2014—is adopted in the Philippines by Former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III under Proclamation No. 1106. 

Meanwhile, RO I Ambojon said that the priority and target of the project is the marginalized communities, members of the Indigenous Cultural Communities or Indigenous People, Muslim Filipinos and Poorest Sector of the society.

Additionally, the roles and responsibilities of respective agencies, procedures, requirements for Delayed Registration, other targets of BRAP in 2024 and 2025 were tackled. 

RO I Ambojnon also mentioned that the Municipality of Tuba has the greatest number of registered records with issued Security Paper with 211, followed by Kapangan with 38 and Kabayan, Sablan, and Itogon with 19, 8, and 1, respectively. The other municipalities have no records yet.
