La Trinidad, Benguet  The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Benguet celebrated the Civil Registration Month in its 35th year on February 4, 2025, at the Strawberry Valley Hotel and Restaurant in La Trinidad, Benguet, where it was attended by city/municipal civil registrars, staff, and stakeholders of the province.

The celebration is a nationwide observance established under Proclamation No. 682, signed by former President Corazon C. Aquino on January 28, 1991. This celebration raises awareness about the importance of timely, accurate, and complete civil registration and vital statistics. This year’s theme, "Build a Resilient, Agile, and Future-fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CVRS) System," emphasizes the need for an adaptive and future-ready system that supports the nation’s legal and administrative needs.

To address any potential confusion and ensure clarity when clients inquire about the National ID, PhilSys Registration Officer II Jude Lo provided specific updates on the rebranding of the PhilID—which is now referred to as the National ID in all internal and external communications, forms, and information, education, and communication materials.

Under the updated branding, various formats of the National ID will be recognized as follows: National ID card, National ID in paper form, and Digital National ID.

Nevertheless, the National ID will remain steadfast in promoting seamless social and financial inclusion for both public and private services.
