The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Abra Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) participated in the World Café of Opportunities: Job Fair and One-Stop-Shop conducted by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) – Abra in celebration of the 30^th Founding Anniversary of TESDA and National Tech-Voc Day at Abra Sports Complex, Zone 3, Bangued, Abra on 28 August 2024. Administrative Officer I and HRMO Designate Lulette B. Agudelo accommodated applicants for PSO’s job vacancies: Accountant I and Statistical Researchers (SRs) for the 2024 Functional Literacy, Education, and Mass Media Survey (FLEMMS). Administrative Aide VI Adonis A. Pariñas assisted AO I Agudelo in receiving application requirements. AO I Agudelo also answered inquiries on the job vacancies. PhilSys Provincial Focal Person (PFP) Jonnel P. Aveño conducted National ID registration during the activity. Information Officer I (IO I) Angelee Ann B. Perez screened Forms 1A and supporting documents. The PhilSys PFP and IO I also responded to concerns about the status of PhilID, delayed delivery of PhilID cards, and incorrect dempographic entries. They also distributed PhilSys Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign materials.

The activity served as a one-stop-shop where government agencies, private companies, tech-voc institutions and financing institutions converged to offer employment, training, competency assessment, and financial assistance to Technical-Vocational Education Training (TVET) graduates/alumni. It also served as job fair wherein it aimed to provide opportunity for Abreños, especially for TVET graduates, to explore potential employment. The activity was a good venue for the PSA Abra to bring the services closer to the people.
