The rollout of PhilSys school-based registration in the province started on February 6, 2023 to accelerate Step 2 Registration in the different schools. The PSA strategized the registration process in order to provide the service closer to the learners who were unable to register during the barangay-based registration due to Covid-19 restrictions. PSA Kalinga headed by Maribel M. Dalayday visited almost 33% schools in the province to conduct step 2 registration.
The list of the total number of schools visited per city or municipality is as follows:
A total of 7,151 individuals were registered in the schools that were visited. It consists of learners at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels, as well as teachers and other staff.
Amidst the challenges of reaching the schools in remote areas, registration kits and PhilSys teams were all secured and safe. The extra effort to deliver services such as this program, especially in remote areas, received excellent feedback from constituents.
In line with office memorandum no. 2023-34, all PSA field offices were instructed to conduct School Registration Campaigns. The PhilSys Focal Person formally coordinated with the DepEd Kalinga Division headed by Amador D. Garcia Sr. to continue with the registration of learners started as early as February 6, 2023 until all schools in the province are fully completed.
