As part of the establishment of a sustainable, digital, and inclusive identification system where no Filipino is left behind, the PSA Kalinga conducted a School Registration Campaign to increase the number of schools that supports and allow the conduct of PhilSys institutional registration, address the low participation rate of students during the registration, and also to cascade the accurate information about the PhilSys to the teachers, parents, students, and non-teaching staffs.
Following instructions given by Maribel M. Dalayday, Chief Statistical Specialist of PSA Kalinga, the PhilSys Registration Teams in Kalinga began their enhanced school registration effort during the first week of February 2023.
In order to raise awareness of the PhilSys Identification System and its advantages among teachers, parents, students, and non-teaching staff, the team also carried out classroom-to-classroom information dissemination and flyer distribution. To further entice the students to register, PhilSys merchandise were also distributed
This year, the team had already visited 20 schools in the province. This comprises public and private schools (elementary and secondary), colleges, and universities. The list of visited schools including the number of registrants were as follows:
The PhilSys Registration Team also received positive feedback from the different Principals, Schools Heads and parents and they are also thankful for bringing the service closer to them.
