Matagoan Festival and Tabuk Founding Anniversary are celebrated every 24th day of June in Tabuk City, Kalinga. As part of the festivity with a theme: “Sustaining Gains, Building Relations, Achieving Goals toward a Smart City”, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-Kalinga initiated to establish a booth in the city hall compound on June 22-24, 2023.
To ensure an inclusive, secured, and sustainable national identification system, PSA Kalinga aims to disseminate information and provide services to the public such as Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Registration and the issuance of Printable ID in the PSA booth.
The PhilSys team distributed PhilSys brochures in order to continuously inform the public and keep them updated about the services offered by the PSA. Residents from different barangays visited the PSA booth and availed themselves of the services provided. Queries and complaints were also addressed especially on how to utilize the National ID by availing of other government services. Also, Tabukeños who’ve registered through Step 2 PhilSys Registration and availed of their printable PhilIDs were properly informed and assured that they will still receive their PhilID cards through the partnership of PSA with Philippine Post Office (PHLPost) even if they already received their printable IDs.
PSA Kalinga continues to collaborate among various government agencies, Local Government Units (LGUs), and private entities for the secured implementation and smooth integration of PhilSys to the public. Efforts were also made to adhere to the provision of information dissemination about the purpose, benefits, and processes involved in PhilSys. In relation to the initiatives of PSA Kalinga, the office ensures the public’s seamless delivery of services through Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials distributed and properly introduced during the three-day event in the city.
