PhilSys Focal Person (PFP) Jonnel P. Aveño, Information Officer I (IO I) Angelee Ann B. Perez, and Registration Kit Operator (RKO) Marc Lester L. Villamor travelled to Agsimao, Tineg, Abra on 06 May 2024 together with the LGU officials and employees headed by Hon. Mayor Crisologo. The group departed at Sitio Vira, Alaoa at 4:00 A.M. and arrived at Agsimao at 8:02 A.M. They immediately set-up the registration kit upon arrival. PFP Aveño and IO I Perez went to the school principals of Tineg Central School and Tineg National High School for coordination regarding the conduct of PhilSys Step 2 Registration in the area. The principals assured to inform the parents and students who are still unregistered to register in the PhilSys. IO I Perez began screening the supporting documents and the PhilSys Form1A of the registrants. RKO Villamor started the registration. PFP Aveño and IO I Perez distributed PhilSys IEC campaign materials. The registration continued until the following day. The PRT transferred to barangay Cogon after the registration at barangay Agsimao. They set-up the registration kit after lunch time and started the registration. The PRT gave treats such as candies, marshmallows, and chips to the children registrants, especially those who are 1-4 years old. The registration ended at 6:02 P.M. and resumed on the following day. The Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign was also conducted on the next day to increase the level of awareness of the residents on PhilSys and on ePhilID. PFP Aveño discussed briefly Republic Act No. 11055, otherwise known as the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Act of 2018 and informed the registrants about the benefits of PhilSys and the necessity of being PhilSys-registered especially for registrants who are members of 4Ps and social protection beneficiaries. He also discussed the ePhilID. He told that it is a proactive strategy of PSA that allows registrants to immediately enjoy the benefits of being PhilSys-registered and that the ePhilID is not temporary in nature and has the same functionality and validity as the physical PhilID card. He also showed an ePhilID for reference and showed what are the demographic data that can be seen in the ePhilID. PFP Aveño and IO I Perez distributed IEC campaign materials. They encouraged residents to actively participate in the PhilSys registration process. They also answered queries and concerns. This way of interaction clarifies the purpose of PhilSys in facilitating faster access to government services, fostering financial inclusion, and improving overall socioeconomic development. PFP Aveño also accepted one (1) request for Replacement of Damaged PhilID. The Abra PRT registered 70 registrants in their four-day fieldwork in two of the remote and far-flung barangays of the province. The Abra PRT expressed their gratitude to the LGU and barangay officials for accommodating the team in the conduct of PhilSys services in their barangays. Hon. Mayor Crisologo, Barangay Chairmen Renante C. Calubing and Richie U. Batawang also expressed words of gratitude to PSA and to Abra PRT for delivering the services closer to the people of Agsimao and Cogon.
