PSA Benguet National ID Registration Team caters children aged 4 below in the National ID registration as part of their activity called “Rehistro Bulilit,” held on February 14 at Ambuklao, Bokod, Benguet.
Benguet, Philippines – In February alone, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Benguet National ID Registration Team continuously boosts its frontline services as they reach different barangays across all municipalities, including Baguio City. This initiative coincides with the commemoration of the 35th Civil Registration Month.
The National ID Registration Team has employed multiple strategies to achieve its PSA’s goal of creating an inclusive identification system for everyone. These strategies include mobile registrations, local government coordination and requests, and house-to-house registrations.
The National ID services offered are the retrieval of the Transaction Reference Numbers (TRN) in case clients lost their transaction slip, issuance of National ID in paper form as an alternative for the National ID Card and updating of demographic details.
In addition, the Team is registering children aged 4 and below to enable them to access essential services, such as school enrollment, student assistance programs, and even junior savings accounts at banks.
The promotion of the Digital National ID is also underway, providing the public with a convenient and accessible means of valid proof of identity that can be downloaded onto mobile devices. The Team helps individuals who are interested in accessing and downloading their Digital National ID. The PSA issued a public advisory dated 11 June 2024 informing the public, government, and private institutions of its acceptance as a valid and sufficient proof of identity, subject to authentication.
Along with these registrations, the Team also conducts Information, Education, and Communication campaigns to inform individuals regarding the benefits of the National ID.
