The Municipal CBMS Coordinating Board convenings have drawn to a close across all municipalities of Ifugao. From Tinoc to Alfonso Lista, local leaders, government officials, and stakeholders convened to tackle and coordinate efforts for the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) implementation in the province.

The series of meetings commenced on February 23 in Tinoc and concluded on March 15 in Asipulo, with each municipality hosting its respective session. The gatherings brought together members of the Municipal CBMS Coordination Boards (CCBs), comprising Local Chief Executives, heads of LGU offices, representatives from National Line Agencies, Barangay LGUs, and the private sector.

Key presentations during the convenings elucidated the objectives, scope, and coverage of the 2024 CBMS initiative. Participants gained insights into the overarching framework of CBMS and the roles and responsibilities delineated for CCB members. Moreover, discussions delved into potential avenues for collaboration and support to optimize CBMS operations.

Throughout the meetings, a myriad of concerns and agenda items surfaced, reflecting the diverse needs and priorities across Ifugao's municipalities. These issues were thoughtfully addressed, laying the groundwork for a coordinated approach to addressing local challenges in the implementation.

At the heart of these convenings lies the crucial role of the Municipal CBMS Coordinating Boards in overseeing CBMS operations within their jurisdictions. Their diligent oversight and strategic guidance will be instrumental in ensuring the success of the CBMS initiative, which holds immense potential to catalyze development in the province.

As Ifugao looks towards the successful implementation of CBMS, the conclusion of the Municipal CBMS Coordinating Board convenings signifies a collective step forward towards realizing this vision.
