Municipal CBMS Coordinating Board Convenes in the Municipalities of Santa Marcela and 
Flora, Apayao

A team of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in Apayao led the convening of two (2) 2024 Municipal Community-Based Monitoring System (MCCB) on February 27, 2024 that took place at the EKB Clubhouse of Santa Marcela in the morning, and at the Municipal Conference Hall of Flora in the afternoon

In Santa Marcela, the drafted MCCB shall be composed of the Municipal Mayor as the Chairperson, the PSA as the Co-Chairperson, and the LGU CBMS Focal Person / Municipal Statistician as the head of the Secretariat. The Members are the heads or representatives of various offices within the municipal LGU such as, but not limited to:

a. Municipal Planning and Development Office
b. Social Welfare and Development Office
c. Engineering Office
d. Environment and Natural Resources Office
e. Human Resource and Management Office
f. Public Employment Service Office
g. Public Information Office
h. Agriculture Office
i. Budget Office
j. Civil Registry Office
k. Health Office
l. Public Order and Safety Office
m. Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office
n. Tourism Office
o. Local Economic Investment and Promotions Office
p. Cooperative Development Office
Municipal Local Government Operations Officer
District Supervisor or Designated Representative, DepEd
Chief of Police or Designated Representative, PNP
Representative, Sangguniang Bayan/Panlungsod
President, Association of Barangay Captains
Representative/s, Civil society organizations and the private sector

These two separate activities conducted in the municipal local governments of Santa Marcela and Flora were actively participated by the heads and representatives of various municipal offices, PNP, DepEd and DILG. The events concluded with summary of commitments to be consolidated by each Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) before submitting to PSA-Apayao.
