08 February 2024, Luna, Apayao – Over 250 participants attended the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Information and Awareness Campaign (IAC) and Step2 Registration held on February 8, 2024 at Apayao State College (ASC)- Luna Campus. In response to the invitation of the Army Recruitment Office Luzon, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Apayao Provincial Statistical Office through the PhilSys Team conducted an IAC to the ASC students including some of their staff and personnel, and other individuals who are interested in joining the army.

This activity aims to boost awareness on the National ID and to encourage the participants to register. The importance and benefits of having the said ID were discussed by PhilSys Focal Person, Mr. Jade M. Sumibcay. It was also highlighted that the national ID is of big help in their application to join the army as it will serve as proof of their identity and can be use as their valid ID.

After the presentation of Mr. Sumibcay, the team were able to address questions and concerns of the attendees regarding the topic.

 

 

Moreover, free IEC Materials were also been distributed by the team to the participants for additional information.

A total of 33 registrants have successfully undergone Step 2 Registration and nine ePhilIDs has been issued. This has been made possible through the collaborative efforts of the PSA, ASC and the invitee, Army Recruitment Team.
