PSA Apayao to Conduct July 2025 LFS and 2025 FIES First Visit

The Philippine Statistics Authority – Apayao Provincial Statistical Office will conduct the July 2025 round of the Labor Force Survey (LFS) and the 2025 Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES) Visit 1 beginning July 8, 2025.

To prepare for this important undertaking, a total of 29 hired field personnel successfully completed the Third Level Training held from June 30 to July 6, 2025, in Tumog, Luna.

The LFS is a nationwide, household-based survey designed to collect data on the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population. The information gathered will provide key insights into labor market trends, such as labor force participation rate, employment and unemployment levels, hours worked, and the previous employment of jobseekers.

The 2025 FIES Visit 1 serves as a rider to the LFS and is conducted in two rounds—July 2025 and January 2026. As the country's primary source of detailed data on family income, sources of income, expenditures, and consumption, the FIES is vital in assessing income distribution, living standards, spending patterns, and the degree of income inequality among Filipino families.

Trained Statistical Researchers will be deployed to selected municipalities across the province, where they will visit and interview more than 800 sample households throughout the month of July.
