Farm Prices Survey (FPS) is a nationwide survey that collects data on farmgate or producer’s prices received by the farmers for their produce. Farmgate price is the farmer’s selling price for their produce at the point of sale excluding transportation of delivery fee. 
 
Cereals Farm Prices
 
The average farm price of palay, other variety dry was 17.36 pesos per kilogram in 1st Quarter 2022 lower by 0.80 percent as compared to the same quarter in 2021.
 
Corn matured, yellow farm price marked an increase of 11.33 percent from 12.44 pesos per kilo in 1st Quarter 2021 to 13.85 pesos per kilo in 1st quarter 2022.
 
  

Livestock Products Farm Prices

Figure 2 showed that all kind of livestock products farm prices increased in 1st quarter 2022 as compared to the same quarter in 2021. Cattle for slaughter, backyard marked the highest increase with 81.57 percent followed by Hog for slaughter, backyard with 28.20. Carabao for slaughter, backyard has the least increase with 13.06 percent.   

 

Poultry Products Farm Prices
 
Chicken native improved reported farm price was 207.73 pesos per kilo in 1st quarter 2022. It increased by 19.78 percent over the price of the same quarter in 2021. Also, farm price of duck for meat, backyard increased by 22.04 percent from 156.94 pesos per kilo in 1st Quarter 2021 to 200 pesos per kilo in the same quarter of 2022. 

 

Fruit Vegetables Farm Prices
 
Almost all kinds of fruit vegetables farm prices decreased in 1st Quarter 2022. Eggplant long purple marked the highest decrease with 28.81 percent as compared of the same quarter last year followed by ampalaya with 26.02 percent and okra with 16.79 percent and squash with 7.26 percent. Chayote has the least decrease with 2.63 percent. Only farm price of tomato went up by 78.94 percent in 1st quarter 2022 over the price of the same quarter in 2021. 
 
Leafy Vegetables Farm Prices
 
Farm price of ampalaya leaves, cabbage and pechay native decreased in 1st Quarter 2022 with 10.87, 34.98 and 7.09 percent respectively over the price of the same quarter in 2021.  
 

Root Crops and Legumes Farm Prices
 
Farm prices of all kinds of root crops and legumes decreased in 1st quarter 2022 as compared to the same quarter in 2021 except for the price of sweet potato (camote). It went up by 0.36 percent from 28.10 pesos per kilo in 1st quarter 2021 to 28.20 pesos per kilo in the same quarter 2022.   
 
Fruits Farm Prices
 
Farm prices of all kinds of banana in 1st Quarter 2022 showed a negative remark over the price of the same quarter in 2021. Prices decreased by 4.65 percent for banana lakatan,  4.49 for banana latundan and 6.30 for banana saba.
 
Non Food and Industrial Farm Prices
 
The average farm prices of robusta coffee dry beans and coconut green young showed a negative remark in 1st Quarter 2022 while farm price of coconut mature went up by 6.39 percent from 9.39 pesos per kilo in first quarter 2021 to 9.99 pesos per kilo in first quarter 2022.
