17 October 2024 – BANGUED, ABRA. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Abra Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) has successfully undergone Internal Quality Management System (QMS) Audit on October 10, 2024. PSO Kalinga Supervising Statistical Specialist (SSS) Randolf M. Landeras and PSO Benguet Dandy B. Bryan spearheaded the activity.

The recent internal quality management system (QMS) audit thoroughly examined our processes to pinpoint areas for enhancement and ensure compliance with the International Standard for the Philippine Statistics Office (PSO). It focused on three key units: the Statistical Operations and Coordination Unit, the Civil Registration and Administrative Support Unit, and the National Identification System Unit. This audit enables us to identify improvements and reinforce adherence to PSO standards, bolstering our commitment to quality and excellence.

The audit yielded no major or minor non-conformities, demonstrating full compliance with relevant standards and showcasing our organizational efficiency. Several opportunities for improvement (OFIs) were identified, reflecting our dedication to continuous enhancement and utmost quality.

SS II Bryan and SSS Landeras unveiled the audit results, highlighting the Philippine Statistics Office's (PSO) remarkable progress since last year's internal audit. SS II Bryan commended the PSO's impressive improvement, while SSS Landeras congratulated the team on a successful audit process. Landeras emphasized that Quality Management System (QMS) principles should be integral to daily routines.

Chief Statistical Specialist Felixberto B. Perdido expressed gratitude to the internal auditors for their dedication and effort. He also thanked PSO personnel for their cooperation and commitment to the audit. The event concluded with a photo opportunity, capturing the momentous occasion.
