28 January 2025 – BANGUED, ABRA. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Abra Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility through its Adopt-a-Community program. The PSO Abra personnel donated used clothes. Registration Officer II (RO II) Jonnel P. Aveño and Information Officer I (IO I) Angelee Ann B. Perez distributed used clothes to the residents of Caganayan, Tineg, Abra on January 22, 2025. This gesture underscored the office’s commitment in sharing to the community which brought joy to the recipients.

The primary mandate of PSA is to deliver relevant and reliable statistics, efficient civil registration services, and inclusive identification system for policymakers, planners, interest parties, and other stakeholders. The office also recognized its role which extends beyond its mandates by launching this adopt-a-community activity. This initiative of the office is not only providing tangible benefits to the community, but also fulfills its social responsibility to contribute to the welfare of the communities it serves and this fosters the sense of trust and cooperation between its personnel and the local residents.
