
25 June 2025 - Lagawe, Ifugao. As part of preparing for the ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification, the Ifugao Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) participated in the Regional Cybersecurity Assessment that took place on 25 June 2025, at the G/F New LMDC Building, Poblacion West, Lagawe, Ifugao. This is line with the Philippine Statistics Authority’s continued commitment to strengthen its cybersecurity posture.
The evaluation was done by three staff from the PSA Central Office Information and Cybersecurity Division (ICD) and the Infrastructure and System Management Division (ISMD), Information Systems Analysts I Hazel B. Solivio and Louie Andrew G. Florendo alongside Computer Maintenance Technologist I Fidel Rosstum L. Viguilla. The group made rounds to all sections of the office to assess compliance with data privacy policies and governance frameworks concerning IT security practices.
The PSO-Ifugao technical team, composed of RO I Christine Mae U. Cariño, ISA I Lalaine T. Baguilat, and ISA I Yang Shi Mae G. Wangag, was tasked to accomplish the Network and Resource Assessment Questionnaire and the Cybersecurity Assessment Questionnaire. They also addressed inquiries raised by the assessors during the evaluation.




During the afternoon session, the assessment team presented their findings while interacting with participants by responding to questions and providing practical recommendations that could be implemented to improve the office's cybersecurity measures. The session underscored the need for continuous cybersecurity compliance at every level of an organization.
