The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Apayao Provincial Statistical Office spearheaded the kick-off for the 34th Civil Registration Month celebration on 01 February 2024 with a motorcade within the municipality of Luna, Apayao. This year’s Civil Registration Month theme is “CVRS: The future of seamless service.” 

The Civil Registration Month is celebrated in February of every year pursuant to Proclamation No. 682 signed by the former President Corazon C. Aquino on 28 January 1991. This annual celebration aims to remind the Filipinos of their duty to register acts and events concerning status of persons, enhance nationwide awareness, and appreciation of the legal, administrative, and statistical values of civil registry documents.

In today’s event, a quiz bee was conducted for PSA employees as an exciting way to raise awareness and promote the legal, administrative, and statistical values of civil registration.

Among the 19 contestants, Administrative Officer I Lennie Ann B. Wamil got the highest points and was declared champion. The first and second runners up are Administrative Officer I Lorbijay T. Ordillo and Information Officer I Ericka Segundina L. Calasag, respectively.
