Baguio City - As of December 31, 2024, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has successfully registered the biometric data of over 1.4 million Filipinos and resident aliens as part of the ongoing implementation of the National ID System in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

Between May 31, 2021, and December 31, 2024, a total of 1,462,412 registrants were enrolled at various registration centers throughout the region. This figure represents 81.35 percent of the total population of 1,797,660, as indicated by the 2020 Census of Population. The registration teams across various provinces have made significant progress in meeting their targets: Abra achieved 81.84 percent of the 250,985 target. With 124,366 as the target, Apayao successfully reached 87.83 percent. Benguet accomplished 81.36 percent of its target of 827,041. Ifugao managed to register 75.75 percent of the 207,498 target, while Kalinga has achieved 84.44 percent of the 229,570 target. Meanwhile, Mountain Province completed 78.28 percent of its 158,200 target.

As of October 31, 2024, a total of 1,042,657 National ID cards have been distributed to recipients, demonstrating a significant advancement in the nation's identification efforts. Additionally, there have been 1,067,176 National IDs issued in paper form. This distribution underscores the commitment to providing accessible identification solutions for all citizens.
