Baguio City - The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has successfully registered the biometric data (Step 2 Registration) of over 1.3 million Filipinos and resident aliens throughout the region as part of the continuing implementation of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys).

From May 31, 2021 to March 31, 2024, 1,373,762 registrants were successfully registered at the different registration centers in the Cordillera Administrative Region.  These make up 84.14 percent of the target registrants of 1,632,709. The table below shows the number of registered individuals by province.

The registration rates of the different PhilSys registration teams by province are as follows: Abra – 84.24 percent of the 230,488 target. Out of the targeted 112,768, Apayao accounted for 89.82 percent. Of its 751,446 target, Benguet accounted for 84.36 percent. Of the 186,706 target, Ifugao has achieved 79.40 percent, and Kalinga has achieved 86.68 percent of the 207,110 target. Mountain Province, meanwhile, managed to register 80.86 percent of its 144,191 target.

As of December 31, 2023, 678,865 PhilID cards had been issued to recipients, based on the data from the Philippine Postal Corporation. There were a total of 1,001,746 printed ePhilIDs also issued by the PSA as of December 31, 2023.
