Mountain Province’s Economy Continues to Expand with 6.7 Percent Growth in 2023

The economy of Mountain Province continues to expand as it grew by 6.7 percent in 2023. The province’s economy expanded by 4.1 percent in 2021 and 7.8 percent in 2022. Moreover, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Mountain Province was estimated at PhP 15.89 billion in 2023. (Figure 1)

Among the 16 industries, fastest growths were observed in Other services with
53.7 percent, followed by Transportation and storage with 41.3 percent, and Accommodation and food services activities with 23.9 percent. 

On the other hand, Public administration and defense; compulsory social security and Agriculture, forestry, and fishing declined by 0.8 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively. (Figure 2)
