WHEREAS, PSA Board Resolution No. 05, Series of 2015 established the Regional Statistics Committees (RSC) at the subnational level to provide direction and guidance to regional/local statistical development activities;
WHEREAS, among the primary functions of the RSC is to institute measures to strengthen the statistical capability of the local statistical system by solving problems and issues peculiar to the region, and by setting priority statistical activities for the region;
WHEREAS, the Regional Statistics Committees– Cordillera Administrative Region (RSC-CAR), duly reconstituted through RSC-CAR Resolution No.03, Series of 2021 is the highest policy-making and coordinating body on statistical matters in the region, and is responsible for formulating and approving statistical development activities for CAR;
WHEREAS, an annual development agenda on regional statistical development is necessary in order for the RSC-CAR to effectively carry out its roles and functions for the succeeding year;
WHEREAS, the 2023 Development Agenda which forms part of this Resolution will guide the RSC-CAR in the discharge of its functions to ensure that all statistical concerns are completely covered and properly addressed;
NOW, THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, BE IT:
RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the RSC - CAR, duly assembled, approves and adopts the 2023 RSC-CAR Development Agenda;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the 2023 RSC-CAR Development Agenda shall be subject to periodic evaluation during the year;
RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this Resolution, the 2023 RSC-CAR Development Agenda as attached, be forwarded to the Regional Development Council (RDC) – Cordillera, RSC-CAR member agencies, and other concerned agencies and offices for their information and guidance.
