ENJOINING THE SUPPORT OF THE STAKEHOLDERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN THE CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION (CAR)
TO THE CONDUCT OF THE 2022 NATIONWIDE ROLLOUT OF THE COMMUNITY-BASED MONITORING SYSTEM (CBMS)

WHEREAS, in April 2019, Republic Act No. 11315 or the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Act was signed into law on 17 April 2019 establishing CBMS in all cities and municipalities as an economic and social tool for the formulation and implementation of poverty alleviation and development programs that are specific, targeted, and responsive to the basic needs of each sector of the community;  

WHEREAS, the CBMS shall generate updated and disaggregated data necessary in targeting beneficiaries, conduct more comprehensive poverty analysis and needs prioritization, design appropriate policies and interventions, and monitor impact over time;

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 6 of the CBMS Act, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) shall be the lead agency to implement the CBMS through the Community-Based Statistics Service (CBSS);

WHEREAS, various training, forums, and campaigns have already been conducted in preparation for the nationwide rollout this year in close coordination with various stakeholders such as PSA Field Offices, Local Government Units, and other agencies;

WHEREAS, the synchronized data collection for the nationwide rollout is set to be conducted from 18 July to 17 September 2022;

WHEREAS, the support of all the stakeholders and the general public are material to the successful implementation of this very important undertaking;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, BE IT:

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the RSC-CAR duly enjoins all stakeholders and the general public in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) to support the conduct of the 2022 nationwide rollout of the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS).
