WHEREAS, one of the frameworks developed and maintained by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is the Philippine System of National Accounts (PSNA) which includes the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and the Gross Regional Domestic Expenditure (GRDE) released on an annual basis;  

WHEREAS, the GRDP measures the total output of goods and services of a region and the GRDE measures the expenditure of residents in the region in the domestic territory plus their expenditures in other regions including the rest of the world;

WHEREAS, the GRDP and GRDE estimates are indicators of the region’s economic performance and are valuable inputs in development planning, policy formulation and monitoring the activities of the region;

WHEREAS, the data required in the estimation of the GRDP and GRDE are generated from the results of censuses and surveys, and administrative reports of government offices and private establishments;

WHEREAS, the availability of data from the government agencies and the private sector is important in generating accurate, timely, and reliable GRDP and GRDE estimates for CAR;

WHEREAS, there is a need for PSA-CAR to update its databank for the actual estimation of the CAR GRDP and GRDE covering the periods 2018 to 2020;

WHEREAS, the PSA-CAR preserves the strict confidentiality of sensitive data through the release of aggregate estimates only;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, BE IT:

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the RSC-CAR requests the Regional Line Agencies, Local Government Units and the private sector to provide PSA-CAR with the data needed in the estimation of the 2018 to 2020 CAR GRDP and GRDE.
